Major Requirements
As with any interdisciplinary major, students need to complete 116 credits for the Economics and History major. Within these 116 credits, students need to complete eight courses in Economics as described below. The foundation course requirements for this major are as given in the pure Economics major page.

The details of the courses in Economics are as follows.
- A mandatory core of 4 courses (Introduction to Economics, Mathematics for Economics, Microeconomics 1, Macroeconomics 1)
- Two options for the other 4 courses
- Option A (Theory): Microeconomics 2, Macroeconomics 2 and any two other 2nd or 3rd year courses subject to prerequisites
- Option B (Empirical): Statistics for Economics, Econometrics and any two other 2nd or 3rd year courses subject to prerequisites
