Garima Mishra received her Ph.D. in Physics from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. She did her post-doctoral research at Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot, Israel. She was also a post-doctoral research associate at University of Oxford, Oxford, UK. Prior to joining Ashoka University, she worked as an INSPIRE faculty at Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
Her research interests are interdisciplinary, at the interface of Physics and Biology. Some of her major contributions are in the field of protein-DNA interaction and DNA unzipping
