An Advance Capstone Thesis in Creative Writing offers students a chance to produce a body of work beyond the standard curriculum at Ashoka. Students will engage in research and dissertation methods requisite to MA/Ph.D. programmes under the supervision of a mentor. The Longform thesis allows students to engage in critical and creative thinking within a field of personal interest in great depth. Students develop an aptitude for long-form writing, which aids the application process for higher education. At the end of the academic year, students get the opportunity to present their thesis to a distinguished audience of professors and academicians from multi-disciplinary backgrounds.
For students who have completed their CW Minor/Interdisciplinary Major in the 3rd year and wish to do a Capstone project in the ASP year, these are the requirements:
Prose: A minimum of 20,000 words
Poetry: A minimum of 25 poems
Graphic narrative: A minimum of 25 pages
