Arushi Aggarwal is a happy woman who has been imaginative and offbeat since her childhood. She has always loved the stage as a space and looks for different ways to express herself. Her thirst for stage and expression got her to become an active member of the spoken-word poetry circuit of India. She has been a National Youth Poetry Slam finalist and has performed on various events across Delhi. She was one of the opening performers for the ‘Sarah Kay and Phil Kaye show, Delhi’ and was also sponsored to attend a session on writing and performance by Sarah and Phil! Having won and judged several slams, her uniqueness lies in the fact that she has her own peculiar style.
She is a graduate in Sociology from Hindu College and is very enthusiastic about her subject. She was the Editor-in-Chief of Rites2017, the annual magazine of department of Sociology, Hindu College. She was also entrusted to frame, conduct and record an interview with the internationally renowned Sociologist, Amrit Srinivasan, for Rites2017.
She has always been a bright student and was the zonal topper in Biology, in class 12. She is ambitious and seeks to grow in some way, everyday. Besides this, her work has been published on renowned forums like The Bombay Review and she has been featured twice in popular newspapers of India and Germany.
Singing, dancing, painting and writing her way out, now she is ready to be a part of the Young India Fellowship, Ashoka. She hopes to become a bigger whole person over the coming year and will give it her all to make use of every opportunity she finds.
