Research Area: Medieval mysticismHani Naseef is interested in medieval mysticism, Negative Theology, Indo-Persian Islamic literature and modernity studies. His previous work has looked at the metaphysical functions of metaphor and paradox in selected Sufi texts. In a paper titled ‘Reading Sufis : Exploring the Theopolitical’, Hani argues that Sufis represent a radical theology where the task of life/world is at stake rather than committing to transcendental speculations.
