Juliana Lima

Juliana Lima is a Visiting Assistant Professor at Ashoka University. She has a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of California Santa Barbara (2018),  an M.A. in Logic and Metaphysics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2010), and a B.A. in Philosophy from the Federal University of Paraná (2007). Before coming to Ashoka University, she was a Visiting Scholar at the University of Miami.

She works primarily on topics in philosophy of language, mind, and action theory, such as meaning and belief content of proper names, indexicals, de se beliefs, Immunity to Error Through Misidentification, and the relation between indexical beliefs and action. In one of her current research projects, she investigates group indexical beliefs and their relation to group action.
