Shreya Prasad has a background in Literature with a Masters from JNU. Before joining Ashoka University she worked as a Guest Lecturer in University of Delhi. Her research interest lies in Popular Culture with a focus on Fantasy. In her academic life she has studied Translation, Literature in a Globalised World and Academic Writing. She is interested not only in harbouring a critical sense that goes beyond texts and classrooms but also in strengthening such thought processes through writing where writing is not merely a means of expression but becomes a tool to promote complex thought and analysis. Beyond academia, she has also worked as an illustrator for DU Innovations Project and is currently working on an artistic collaboration with a friend on short stories around Assam.
