From being a Scholar Blazer Holder until the 10th Grade to almost flunking the 11th Grade and then to finally winning second place in a National Level Mock Trial, Siddhant had a journey full of peaks and valleys. Besides being a District Level swimmer, he has been a footballer for almost as long as he can remember. He represented his school in a tournament conducted by Arsenal FC, one of the most prestigious English Football Clubs. His team won the Zonal round and went on to represent Delhi in the National Round. Thereafter, the school awarded him with the Honours Badge for proficiency in football in the year 2011-12.
In 2014, out of curiosity, Siddhant joined the NGO “Make a Difference” which turned out to be one of the best decisions of his life so far. As an Ed-Support volunteer, he taught underprivileged children, Mathematics and Science on the weekends and mentored five teenagers during the course of a year. Alongside these milestones achieved, Siddhant also had to battle several challenges. One of the pitfalls of blindly chasing success in each endeavor was losing clarity as to what he really cared about in the long run and why he was pursuing these milestones, which eventually led him to almost flunking 11th Grade.
He struggled to not prioritize what others thought of him and felt myself lacking enthusiasm and discipline. However, after introspection, he realized what values motivated me in life and since then have been seeking experiences and learning, such as YIF, that would further such growth.
