2020-21
India's population is around 17 percent that of the population in the world. The country has one of the largest workforces globally. India's demographic dividend kickstarted in the 1980s and is expected to last till the latter half of the 2030. Therefore, it is the right time to capitalise the growing working-age population to overcome the challenges of skill mismatches, unemployment which has aggravated as a result of COVID-19, income inequality and deprivation. This presentation underlines some of these challenges and solutions for an all inclusive growth and development of India.
